This is a fun and challenging event open to anyone with a mountain bike. But you better do some training! Beginners, novices, veterans and elite riders are all invited to come out and enjoy a great weekend of riding/racing and exploring.

Race around a beautiful remote Island! The Great Barrier Island is in the Hauraki gulf 90k north east of central Auckland. This rugged unspolit island is a paradise in the ocean with large areas of native bush and amazing coastlines and beaches.

The Great Barrier Island MTB Marathon starts at the beautiful Medland beach campground on the east coast of the island.
